Kudos for Read Hebrew America/Canada!!!!

The idea and the help are great. Thanks!

Congregation Shaare Tikvah, Chicago, IL

I first took RHA/C 3 years ago and decided to become an adult Bat Mitzvah. I am enjoying this great review! (Now teaching!)

Bureau of Jewish Education of RI, Providence, RI

Who would believe that so many people would respond and come for the first class! I originally anticipated 40-50 but 83 signed the lists! There was standing room only-they were sitting on the tables and desks and looking in from outside the door to the classroom!

Temple Etz Chaim, Thousand Oaks, CA

We had a tremendous turnout-over 120 people who turned out for the Hebrew Crash reading course.

Temple Beth Tikvah, Green Acres, FL

Some comments from students:
"I didn't know I could read Hebrew."
"I thought I was too old to learn to read Hebrew."
"I want to take the Level 2 course- I want to continue learning."
"Thanks for the opportunity to learn to read Hebrew." "The words are familiar - now I can read them!"

Temple Shalom, Philadelphia, PA

After reading the Hebrew letters for Dayenu a student cried, "oh my gosh, thats what we sing on Pesach!" During a family education program, a parent who is learning Hebrew could read a Hebrew word the Rabbi wrote. You could see the sparkly in her eyes showing how pleased she was.

Congregation Beth Shalom, Naperville, IL

The participants could not get over the fact that they learned to read in such a short time and kept expressing amazement and joy! On our last session, we sang Hatikva-with their being able to read it for the first time- and it truly was a moving experience.

Steve Bailey, Australia

Remarkable turnout! Fun to teach! The participants are interested in further classes!

Jewish Enrichment Center, Hamilton, ON

Several people expressed an interest in our on-going classes and beginners services. One person asked me to show him how to put on tefilin, which I gladly did.

Young Israel of Fifth Avenue, New York, NY

This program has helped my students tremendously!! One student traveled to Israel and could read the road signs and was thrilled. All students fell much more comfortable in services. No more transliteration books! They all now pick up a siddur. What a wonderful feeling. Your staff was wonderful and the program was a success.

Rodeph Shalom Synagogue, Tampa, FL

One student said she was very happy that she could work with her child and they could learn together. All of the students are looking forward to an adult Bat Mitzvah service.

Temple Beth El, Cedarhurst, NY

This is the 3rd time I've done this course and I only have rave reviews. Its extremely satisfying to see people connect to their roots and the comradery that develops is great.

TORCH, Houston, TX

I have given the Hebrew Reading Crash Course many times and always seem to get more people interested with a significant percentage continuing on to learn more about Hebrew, Prayer, and Judaism. Thank you!

Jewish Learning Exchange, Los Angeles, CA

Another amazing year for the Hebrew Crash Course in Colorado Springs, Colorado. A wonderful class of people enthusiastic about learning to read Hebrew. As a result of these classes over the past three years, Shabbat attendance and participation has grown and continues to grow. Yasher Koach and thanks for giving us the opportunity.

Temple Shalom, Colorado Springs, CO

Thank you for the wonderful job that you do!
